HPV is a virus that can result in infection of mucous membrane and even development of warts. There are other HPVs that can also cause cancer. This infection is more common in women.

The common symptoms of Human Papillomavirus in women include cervical dysplasia, genital warts, cervical cancer and skin warts. However, the symptoms might vary from one woman to another.

Common Warts

Genital Warts

Genital warts are one of most commonly found warts associated with HPV infection. These warts can appear in genital areas like vagina, cervix, vulva, and anus. These warts may raise or flat, and in pink or flesh colored. They may appear as single warts or appear as multiple warts.

Plantar Warts

These are small lesions appearing on the soles of the feet. They have small hemorrhages underneath the skin and might be shaped like cauliflower. If they are scratched, they might bleed and patients generally feel pain when standing or walking. Plantar warts are similar to calluses or corns.

Flat Warts
