Commonly Found Signs Of HPV In Women
HPV or Human Pappillomavirus infection is basically a contagious disease that can be transmitted from one person to another most commonly though sexual contact.
HPV is one of the most common sexually transmitted disease in people who are sexually active. Men and women who are sexually active get affected to HPV at some point in their lives.
HPV does not cause any health problems in the effected person in most of the cases. However, if in any case an HPV does not go away, it may lead to genital warts and cancer, it might be very serious.
In most of the cases, no signs of HPV in women as well as men are found in early stages. It is only after abnormal Pap-smear test or when genital warts, they are known.
Common Signs Of HPV In Women
Some of the most common signs of HPV in women observed in an effected person are detailed below:
Genital Warts
These are the most common signs of HPV in women. These generally appear in the form of small groups of bumps or a minuscule bump in the genital region. These bumps can either be large or small, flat or raised and are generally in the shape of a cauliflower.
Cervical Dysplasia
One of the most common symptoms of HPV in women is cervical dysplasia or lesions of the abnormal cells in the cervix in women. The lesions are generally considered precancerous. They might not be cancerous cells but they have the tendency of developing into cancerous cells later.
HPV infections generally resolve and get cleared on their own. However, cervical dysplasia requires proper treatment because it might result in cervical cancer.
Skin Warts
These are common infections caused due to HPV. They generally appear on the legs, hands, feet, face and the arms. They are likely to develop at almost any age. These are not very different from genitals warts but the only difference lies in the fact that these appear on the skin of different areas throughout the body.
Genitals warts appear only in the genital region of the human body. These are some of the common symptoms of HPV in women that should be taken care of. They can turn out to be serious if not treated in the early stages of HPV.
