These negative RNA viruses do not infect the humans directly but the latter can get infected through the urine, feces, or saliva of the rodents that are infected by the Hantavirus.

It is generally caused by inhaling airborne particles containing infected rodent urine, or by touching urine, droppings or saliva of infected rodent, or bitten by infected rodent.
