5 Best Natural Remedies For Painful Dry Cracked Heels

1. Coconut Oil

When you haven’t taken care of your feet, the skin on them can become very dry and cracked, particularly with wearing high heels.

But don’t worry… Even you can feel much comfortable in wearing high heels. Liberally apply coconut oil to your feet and wear a pair of socks. Leave it for the whole night.

2. Lemon

One of the best natural remedy for painful dry cracked heels is applying lemon juice. Lemon juice is not only a bleaching agent that can be used for skin whitening, but it can also be used to heal cracked heels.

There are many ways through which you can apply the lemon to your cracked heels, such as:

  • Take a piece of lemon and rub it on your feet while squeezing. It allows the juice to transfer your heels. Do this for 5-10 minutes and then gently rub your skin by using a soft cloth. Then wash off with cold or lukewarm water.
  • Take warm water into a small tub then add few drops of lemon into it. Soak your feet in the tub for 10-15 minutes. Do this twice a week.

3. Aloe Vera

Make a mixture of aloe vera juice, turmeric powder, basil leaves and camphor power, and then apply to the cracked heels once in a day during night. Repeat this for few days and the ultimate result is soft and smooth heels.

4. Vinegar

Mix few drops of vinegar in a tub of warm water and soak your feet for few minutes. Acetic acid in vinegar great for treating dry, rough and cracked heels that many of us have.


While soaking, gently scrub the feet for at least 10-15 minutes. Repeat it for 2-3 times a week. Remember that soaking your feet too long period or much frequently can make your skin even dry.

5. Paraffin Wax

If you have tried all the above remedies and don’t get any relief from cracked heels, then you can try wax remedy. For this you need paraffin wax. Also take some mustard oil and mix it with paraffin wax and heat them to make a paste.

Keep the paste aside and take a small tub filled with warm water. Soak your feet for few minutes and then scrub all the dry skin. Then apply the wax and oil paste on your cracked heels.

Wear a pair of socks and keep it for whole night. Repeat the procedure for at least a week and you will be amazed with the results.
