Dislocated Intraocular Lenses

This is also one of the well-known post cataract surgery complications where the individual might see the edge of the lens implant or he or she might develop double vision. Visual acuity of an individual might decrease substantially if the dislocation is quite worse.

Redness and Swelling of the Cornea and Retina

Retinal swelling occurs when fluids build up between the retinal layers ate the rear side of the eye affecting vision. Corneal swelling occurs when fluids build up in the eye cornea and it clear on its own.

Retinal Detachment

This is a very rare post cataract surgery complication where the nerve cells at the back of the eye get separated from the inner wall of the eye.

Eye Infection

Bacterial eye infections like endophthalmitis might also occur as a major complication of cataract surgery.
