It has been found through research that the people who suffer from rheumatoid arthritis also tend to suffer from the damage of the joint ligaments and tendons.

Osteonecrosis

Osteonecrosis is also known as aseptic necrosis or avascular necrosis which occurs generally when the blood in a certain part of the bone results in the eventual collapse and death of the bone. It is a disease that can also result in joint swelling.

Sciatica

Sciatica is another common disease what causes joint swelling. It is a disease resulting in the inflammation of sciatic nerve which is also accompanied with joint swelling. In this disease pain is experienced, which starts from back and goes down the leg.

Paget’s Disease

Paget’s disease is another severe disorder resulting in the excessive formation and breakdown of bone causing the bones to get enlarged, weakened and misshapen. This disease does not affect the skeleton entirely but some bones and can be the main cause of joint swelling.
